CSOL Scholarship Program Overview
One of the most important ways the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League supports the Charleston Symphony in its mission to provide educational opportunities to youth in the Tri County area is through the CSOL Youth Scholarship Program. Every spring, after an application/audition process, the CSOL awards over $30,000 to children and youth residing in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties. These awards, varying in amount, allow students ages 10 years through 11th grade to attend music camps, festivals, or to take summer music lessons. For graduating seniors who plan to major in music in an accredited program, either in performance, education, therapy, conducting, or technology, awards are available, currently ranging from $3000-$5000. Over the past 20 years, the CSOL has awarded over $700,000 in Scholarships.
CSOL Youth Scholarship Applications for the 2026-2027 year will be available here beginning November 16, 2026.
Deadline for submission of these applications is January 18, 2027.
